I have 4 of my new laser engraved prints selected for the VAS Annual Exhibition at the MacLaurin Galleries, Ayr.

The exhibition runs from 28 March – 27 May

For the creation of this series of prints I am continuing to investigate the use of a laser cutter as a drawing medium. The sepia, almost Victorian quality of the image, evokes the rich history of the Western Isles, whilst the use of contemporary digital technology  to create the image, aims to intentionally confound the viewers sense of time.

The images depict my everyday life here on the Isle of Lewis and the four selected images show the Iron Age Broch, Norse Mill and Blackhouses in Gearranan.
