Welcome to the website of artist Jenny Smith. Jenny has an independent studio practice creating drawings, paintings, limited edition prints and artist books.

Jenny’s  practice invites us to question how broad the definition of drawing can be and is underpinned by an exploration into the relationship between memory, process and place. Investigating drawing as an act of touch—where one material meets another— over the years Jenny has  drawn with a diverse range of media, including paper, paint, print, moving image, laser cutting and engraving, sunlight, and her own body.

Her current work explores the imprints and impressions of her everyday life and experience as an artist and crofter living and working on the Isle of Lewis.

​Jenny has won a number of awards for her wok, which is held in collections nationally and internationally.
