The Dance School of Scotland in Glasgow are using What is the best advice you have been given? as inspiration for their final year Performance at Glasgow Theatre Royal Friday 12th and Sat 13th June. They have selected the work of 6 Scottish artists: Andy Goldsworthy, Calum Colvin, Martin Boyce, Ian Faulkner, Muriel Barclay and myself as the starting point for a new dance piece. The students have written their own best advice and choreography has developed in response to this. I have heard it is a very moving piece that has been enthusiastically participated in by these talented young dancers at the early stages of their career. Performances are Friday 12th June 1.30pm & 7.30pm, Sat 13th June 2.30pm & 7.30pm.
Dance School of Scotland is Scotland’s only Centre of Excellence for Dance. With an outstanding track record of success over more than 30 years, many pupils go on to enjoy professional careers all over the world in both dance and theatre.
