Welcome to the website of artist and writer Jenny Smith. Jenny has an independent studio practice creating drawings, paintings, limited edition prints and artist books. Jenny also works to commission creating artwork for public and private spaces, working directly with clients or communities to realise these collaborative works.
Jenny’s work asks us to question our definition of Drawing, in it’s broadest sense. Over the years she has drawn with paint, mixed media, print mediums, a laser cutter and within her current work (inspired by the natural world and our relationship to it) she is drawing with the Hebridean sunlight. Creating limited edition cyanotype drawings inspired by her experience of living and working on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, where she moved to in 2023
Jenny has won a number of awards for her visual work and has work held in collections nationally and internationally.
Please don’t hesitate to email Jenny. Click here for further practical details, including CV and YouTube videos of Jenny talking about her work and here for images and information about the different areas of Jenny’s practice.
I look forward to hearing from you.
