Thanks to Jamie McTeer at Detail Framing studio, I’m delighted to finally have a good photograph of my recent print Yellow Rose, created for the Paper to Gold Portfolio to mark Edinburgh Printmakers 50th Anniversary. I am one of 50 artists who each created a print for the portfolio. I chose a yellow rose for a number of reasons. Yellow roses are given on 50th anniversary’s. The link with my very early painting also won’t be lost those who have been following my work for a while. I really enjoyed exploring the subtly that can be obtained by combining screen printing with very delicate laser engraving. It has inspired a new suite of botanical inspired prints that I am looking forward to finishing when the studio renovations are complete. Yellow Rose Laser engraved Screen print, 38 x 48 cm. £250 unframed
